Never Give Up
By Karen Dossett

Over the last several years I have gone through some health issues and I would like to share some of my thoughts and experiences.
Many years ago when I was going through my Chiron return, I was put into a situation where I was extremely depressed for over a year. That depression created havoc within my body. Our family homeopathic doctor (a spiritual man and devotee of Yogananda) told me that I really needed to be treated homeopathically as I was on the verge of developing Lupus (an auto immune disease). Several months later I was doing quite well although I continued with the homeopathic treatment for another few years.

As time passed I gained insight into my health conditions and I discovered an article stating that “Inner conflicts…affect our physiology … {and} negative emotions create a lot of tension in the body, which blocks the natural flow of Life energy. When our energy is blocked, we feel discomfort or pain, and over time, this blockage will actually damage our organs.” Bart Walton (M.Ac)

In 2007 I became very involved in the Maitreya center. It was important to me to grow this lifetime, so I started volunteering, taking numerous classes and working at the front desk. Little did I realize that I still had a lot of negative energy to release. Once again the negative energy took its toll on my body. I decided to have a mammogram which was long overdue. It showed a tumor in my breast that fortunately was benign. Margaret McElroy told me that it had been very large and cancerous, but because I had worked on myself (clearing a lot of past-life trapped negative emotions) it had become smaller and benign.

Throughout my life I have been truly blessed to have spirit helping me on my spiritual journey. Paramhansa Yogananda tells us: “No matter how much a devotee strives for salvation—and he is required to make the effort wholeheartedly for God—that effort constitutes only 25% of the requirements for liberation. Another 25% depends upon his guru’s blessing, spiritually stimulating the disciple’s striving. But the guru’s help and the devotee’s effort notwithstanding, it is necessary to have also God’s grace, which may be said to constitute the remaining 50% of the requirements.” ~ Paramhansa Yogananda (God Talks with Arjuna: The Bhagavad Gita, 1995)

The biggest challenge I had to overcome started two years ago when I experienced more energy that needed to be released. Soon after starting an exercise program, I began having a great deal of low back pain. The pain was constant, intense and excruciating. I could hardly manage to walk and chose to sleep in a reclining chair as walking upstairs to bed was too painful. I tried cranial sacral work. After a few months I added Margaret’s toning (listening to it every day). I also started doing physical therapy and then added massage treatment to my routine. During this time I fell twice (3 steps forward and 2 back) causing the pain to become worse. I am fortunate to have a husband that gave me healing energy and helped me with Emotion Code, Matrix Reimprinting and past life regression. In retrospect I believe that Margaret’s toning helped strengthen my legs and helped my body to heal. Physical therapy also helped strengthen my legs and helped improve my balance. In addition, I needed healing energy and past-life work to help release a great deal of negative emotion. Little by little I improved and now am doing quite well, choosing to do my healing work and help others to heal themselves.

Here are two quotes that resonate with me regarding the above: “Behind all disease lie our fears, our anxieties, our greed, our likes and dislikes.” ~ Dr. Edward Bach (1886–1936; British physician, homeopath, & spiritual writer, best known for developing the Bach Flower Remedies; The Twelve Healers and Other Remedies, 1933)

“You have potential for every illness in your body right now, and you have potential for a perfect state of health in your body right now—and you will solicit one or the other, or a mixture, depending upon your balance of thought.” ~ Abraham (Esther and Jerry Hicks, Money and the Law of Attraction, 2008, p. 135)

Never give up. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
