The clearing of our chakras must begin from the bottom up as our prana or life force is an energy that enters through our root chakra, rises through each ascending chakra and exits through our crown chakra.

To feel love for life and find joy in life is to unblock and open our first (or root) chakra and allow more of the force of life to enter our energy system which would in turn help to open our second (or sacral) chakra.

To feel love and compassion for ourself and our beloved is to open our sacral chakra which would in turn help to open our third (or solar plexus) chakra.

To feel love and compassion for our family and tribe is to open our solar plexus chakra which would in turn help to open our fourth (or heart) chakra.

To feel love and compassion for the whole universe is to open our heart chakra which would in turn help to energize and power our upper chakras.

To express, think, say and do with universal love and compassion is to open our fifth (or throat) chakra which would in turn help to open our sixth (or third-eye) chakra.

To realize we are universal love and compassion is to open our third-eye chakra.

Upon the opening of our first six chakras, our seventh (or crown) chakra will open automatically as it is an overall reflection of the preceding six chakras.

To open all our seven chakras is to allow the prana from our lower chakras to rise through our heart chakra and meet with the indwelling creator that sits in our upper chakras, before then flowing out into the universe through our crown chakra.

To thus reach out through our crown chakra and contact the universal energy web is to find unity with All That Is and become an instrument and a channel more ready than ever to receive spiritual inspiration and information and produce works of great beauty and originality, in addition to of course the love, peace and bliss that we shall also enjoy.

As humans it is impossible to have all our chakras perfectly clear and balanced at all times, for earth abounds with growth catalysts that have been designed to trip us up and block our chakras often on a daily basis so as to get our attention to focus on our lessons of love and compassion. The Creator that is Love wishes to know Itself which is Love in as many ways possible and it is through each and every unique one of us (who are all the Creator in disguise) that such a wish shall be fulfilled. The instant reward then for having learnt our lessons and keeping our energy pipeline clear and flowing, at least temporarily, is the experience of unity with the Creator.

Instead of denying, suppressing or reacting negatively to our suffering we are better off facing and acknowledging it with self-compassion, for suffering is a growth catalyst that is double-edged — it could make us feel miserable but it could also help us learn our life lessons and fulfill our soul purpose, and allow us to eventually find self-realization and unity with All That Is.

In the face of suffering we must first have compassion for ourselves, for compassion softens our heart and makes more malleable what was once brittle and easily broken and is a fantastic tool for emotional healing. And once we have filled ourselves up with enough compassion, we would become that compassion and realize we are that compassion, then being compassionate to others is just us being ourselves.

On the one hand, compassion is love in action, an active love, an expression and extension of love. On the other, it is a distortion of pure unconditional love as it is conditional upon the experience of suffering. Without suffering, we would not be able to evoke the feeling of compassion. In fact, many a time, someone’s suffering must be greater than our own before we are able to feel any compassion for them. Nevertheless, compassion is still one of the most powerful expressions of love and for many a highly efficient doorway into pure love, for even those in the best of circumstances on earth still have to endure some form of suffering, let alone those who aren’t.
