#35 – Forgiveness
Forgiveness is the first key in compassion. You cannot move forward in vibration, and raise your consciousness without forgiving those who have hurt you. Anger, frustration and hatred and all other negative emotions belong to the emotional body, and the purpose of your life on the Earth plane is to learn to control the emotional body. The emotional body is the energy the Self lives on, hiding those negative feelings away until, one day when you least expect it, the anger or frustration comes to the surface and takes you by surprise.
Do not hold on to anger! Do not hold on to grudges and hate for another. It is this kind of energy that is responsible for the conflict and disharmony in your life. Where do your emotions of anger, frustration, resentment and hatred come from? They come from the memory of being hurt; that memory can be from this life or from past lives.
Often the people who hurt you do not know what they do. They act out of their own anger and frustration. You need to look beyond the hurt to understand why the person did what they did; go beyond the emotions and pain, and detach enough to be able to see why the other person did this. When you can do this, you usually will be able to see a better picture of what happened. When you hold on to grudges and anger towards another, you stop the flow of energy with which you can manifest. When you are angry with someone and cannot forgive them, you are only causing upset for yourself. The person whom you are angry at has usually moved on, but you are stuck in your anger. The more you hold on to it, the more it builds; eventually the anger begins to eat away at you in some way! Not forgiving someone can prevent you from moving forward in vibration.
Forgive those who hurt you; let go of all issues having to do with others, and ask yourself what I am learning from this? You can forgive but not forget. However, it is better to forget and forgive. How do you forgive and let go of anger, grudges, frustrations, resentment and hatred? This is not easy to do, but it can be done. You need to imagine yourself as sitting in front of the other person, and then telling them, “You hurt me deeply and I am angry with you, but I do not want to hold this energy of un-forgiveness in my heart, and so I release this from my being.” Then in your mind, see yourself moving away from that person, and letting go of all the emotions you are carrying. Lastly, follow this with an affirmation such as, “I let go of all anger and concern over this subject, it is now banished from my memory.” When the Self, (for it is the Self who holds onto this energy) brings it back into your consciousness, say the affirmation over and over until the feeling has gone. You also can also visualize the cutting of a cord that had been attached to you from the person involved. Cutting that cord will free you from the issue.
This card is in your reading today is asking you to address the hurt in your life through forgiveness. Forgiveness is the only way to let go of your grudges, resentment, anger, frustration and hatred.
